Digital Literacy Education Partnerships

Purpose:  To support school staff in empowering learners now and in the future through digital and information literacy skills.

Partnership:  Konekte Haiti will partner with schools with a new partnership agreement formed annually.  The first year of partnership generally includes working with Konekte Haiti to receive:

  • infrastructure setup (see itemized list below)

  • monthly teacher training sessions and activities in between

  • a named teacher leader who participates in the teacher leader cohort

  • quarterly Principal meetings

To ensure success, partner schools are expected to:

  • pay a partnership fee

  • attend and participate in all scheduled trainings

  • complete activities in between monthly meetings

  • respond to communication with Konekte Haiti staff within 2 days

  • report unresolved technical challenges to Konekte Haiti staff in a timely manner

Konekte Haiti will invite schools to apply for partnership.  Schools will be accepted based on their application and available program funding.   


  • June 2018 - Konekte Haiti invites schools to apply for partnership.

  • July 15, 2018 - Partnership applications due

  • July 25- 28, 2018 - Konekte Haiti connects with teams from each applicant school

  • August 15, 2018 - Project budget finalized

  • August 31, 2018 - Schools notified of application status for this school year.

  • September 2018 - Partnership begins.


Pilot School: A New Arrival School


A New Arrival School (ANA), sponsored by Kozefo, received 30 Chromebooks, a projector, and wireless internet in June 2015.  Since then the teachers have been participating in professional development a few times each year to learn digital literacy skills themselves so that they can help their students do the same.  


Starting in February, teachers began participating in monthly online sessions to build their skills as well as increase their knowledge of the resources available to them.
